Seafoam City, February 2222.

For decades, Myrtle Porter has been the number one murder reporter on the beat—until she was demoted after a controversial unsolved murder. Now, she’s Myrtle Porter: Entertainment Reporter, tasked with interviewing the vapid lead singer of a boy band about his musical ambitions.

That is, until one of the members of Sexyboy turns up dead, a knife sticking out of his chest.

All of a sudden, Myrtle Porter is thrust back into the role she knows best: getting to the bottom of a murder before the killer slips away in the night.

This is the first episode of Myrtle Porter: Murder Reporter, a series of episodic visual novel/point-and-click adventure games. Gather clues, conduct interviews, and confront suspects as Myrtle Porter, a journalist with a nose for intrigue, a mind for mystery, and a sensible chunky sweater for cold weather.

Coded on the Ren’Py platform with original writing and art by Taylor Basso, original music by Mitchell Collins, lead single “Life & Death” by Lifeguard, and voice acting by Josie Mitchell, the game is the result of a small team coming together with love to give you the coziest mystery imaginable. Don’t mind the blood.
